The Tainted Road!

We show up on this planet as blank slates ready to be written on. It is amazing what becomes engraved on us. If we are blessed enough to have parents that understand the importance and purpose of destiny, they will begin to inscribe the word of God on our hearts. However, if that is not our beginnings it could make this journey called life even more challenging. This road could become tainted by our perspective being skewed. God has designed a path for each of us to take. There is one that is general and one that is personal. The General road is the most important one, because we first must start out on that route in order to find our personal road.

The General road is that he desires that none should perish but all should come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This road is called, the road of salvation. The other road is called, the road of purpose and destiny.  I remember early in my life feeling that I needed a relationship with God! I wanted to know who he was and I also had a ravenous desire to know why I was here. I came to a point in my life where I turned my heart over to God and told him that I would like him to make it his home. It was only then my journey to finding purpose and meaning for my life began.

I am still trying to grasp and fully accept that God wants a relationship with me just because of who he has created me to be. He is not looking for my performance, my pretense or my expectations of who I think that I should be. He truly just wants me! Who am I without all the layers of stuff; that the negative experiences of this life has placed on me? I am still trying to discover that, as layers and layers are being stripped away. This is only beginning to occur, because I have asked him to reveal my true self to me, as I spend time with him. This road we travel on call life has been tainted by sin. Jesus came to make the way clear. That was the purpose of the cross. That is the purpose of His father’s words written in the bible. Jesus came to make that word come alive. In so doing we could now hold our lives up to that word and allow it to be the clear picture by which we could do this journey call life. His word is true, it is pure, it is untainted. Let us apply his word to our lives today so that we could be washed of all the past experiences that have caused our perspectives to be distorted, and our journey to be tainted.

Once we lay hold of the truth that he has cleared the path for us, let us stay the course and run this race with diligence never looking back but pressing forward for the prize that is awaiting us.
