Whose Voice Will I Believe?

Why is it that we give so much credence to the devil, and so little credibility to the word of God? If God’s word is true, and it says that Satan is the Father of lies; why do we not believe everything the word of God says about us and dismiss everything Satan says? A friend just recently shared this with me, and to some reading this, it may be so elementary, that you may be perplexed to why I would even mention it. However, for me it was big, because I had an epiphany.  He said “God is inherently good” meanings that, God is composed of goodness .So you cannot separate God from his goodness! Yes bad things happen because we live in an imperfect world, but when we invite God into our bad situations, because he is good by nature, when he enters in, something good always comes out of it. Hence he says:
Romans 8:28
The Voice (VOICE) Translation
28 We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan.

If this is the case then we should run to our Abba, immediately when life sends trouble our way, knowing that he is there waiting to work on our behalf. When Satan speaks lies to us, we should immediately disregard him or resist him because there is no truth in him. Why would we want to listen to a liar? If we had a person that has proven to be untruthful come and tell us something of any significance, we would never even put any value to their words. Let us do the same with the enemy. Jesus who is truth says that Satan is a liar. So let’s take Jesus at his word and treat him as such.
John 8:44

The Voice (VOICE) Translation.
44 You are just like your true father, the devil; and you spend your time pursuing the things your father loves. He started out as a killer, and he cannot tolerate truth because he is void of anything true. At the core of his character, he is a liar; everything he speaks originates in these lies because he is the father of lies.

 Prayer:

Dear Papa God, we know that you are the God of truth; we love you and know that you first loved us. Thank you that your plans for us are only good and not evil. That you so desire to give us a hope and wonderful future. Help us to disregard the lies of Satan, and cling to the truth of your word. For Abba we realize that when we recognize, embrace and apply that truth it would cause us to live in freedom, which bring joy, overwhelming peace and satisfaction, in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
